Our services are designed to help individuals better understand retirement-related considerations that may include:

  • Pension benefits;

  • 403(b) and 457(b) retirement accounts;

  • Social Security considerations;

  • Personal savings and other retirement resources;

  • Retirement income considerations; and

  • Other retirement-related topics relevant to an individual's circumstances.

My Pension Path and MeridianLight LLC are independent of and are not affiliated with or endorsed by any employer, school district, educational institution, government agency, or state or federal pension system.

References to pension systems, retirement programs, government benefits, employers, school districts, or educational institutions are provided for informational and educational purposes and do not imply affiliation, authorization, sponsorship, or endorsement.

3. Educational Nature of Our Services

Information provided through MyPensionPath.com or during an initial Pension & Retirement Review is intended for general educational and informational purposes.

Information provided through our website should not be interpreted as individualized legal or tax advice.

Pension rules, retirement benefits, Social Security rules, insurance products, tax laws, and other retirement-related matters may change and may vary depending on an individual's circumstances.

You should independently verify pension and government-benefit information with the appropriate pension system, government agency, plan administrator, employer, or other authoritative source when appropriate.

MeridianLight LLC is an independent insurance agency.

Where insurance products or insurance-related recommendations are discussed, such services may only be provided by appropriately licensed insurance professionals and are subject to applicable licensing requirements, product availability, carrier requirements, underwriting, suitability considerations where applicable, and applicable law.

4. Pension & Retirement Review Appointments

My Pension Path allows individuals to request and schedule a Pension & Retirement Review.

When you request an appointment, MeridianLight LLC may assign your appointment to an appropriately licensed insurance professional based on factors including your state, applicable licensing requirements, appointment availability, and the nature of your request.

The professional assigned to your appointment may receive information you provided when scheduling your review as reasonably necessary to prepare for, conduct, and follow up regarding your requested appointment.

Your assigned professional may contact you using the contact information you provide, subject to applicable law and your communication preferences.

Appointments may be conducted virtually, by telephone, video conference, or through another agreed-upon method.

Appointment availability is not guaranteed, and appointment dates or times may occasionally need to be changed.

We may reassign an appointment to another appropriately licensed professional when reasonably necessary because of availability, licensing, scheduling, operational requirements, or other circumstances.

5. Information You Provide

When scheduling an appointment or otherwise interacting with My Pension Path, you agree to provide information that is reasonably accurate, current, and complete.

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you voluntarily provide.

Information you provide may include your name, telephone number, email address, employer or school district, school or department, job title, state, appointment preferences, retirement-related questions, and other information you choose to provide.

Our collection, use, disclosure, and protection of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Electronic Communications

By providing your email address or other contact information, you authorize MeridianLight LLC to communicate with you electronically as reasonably necessary to:

  • Respond to your request;

  • Schedule and administer your appointment;

  • Send confirmations and reminders;

  • Communicate scheduling changes;

  • Provide requested information; and

  • Provide appointment-related follow-up.

Where permitted by applicable law, we may also send other communications concerning our services.

Marketing or promotional emails, where applicable, will provide an appropriate method for unsubscribing from future promotional email communications.

Unsubscribing from promotional emails may not prevent us from sending communications reasonably necessary to administer a service or appointment you requested.

7. SMS Messaging Terms

If you affirmatively consent to receive text messages from MeridianLight LLC, you may receive non-marketing text messages concerning your requested Pension & Retirement Review, including:

  • Appointment confirmations;

  • Appointment reminders;

  • Scheduling and rescheduling updates; and

  • Appointment-related follow-up.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

You may cancel SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to a message.

After you send STOP, you may receive a final message confirming that your opt-out request has been processed.

To begin receiving messages again after opting out, you must provide consent again.

Wireless carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

Consent to receive SMS messages is voluntary and is not a condition of receiving a Pension & Retirement Review or purchasing any product or service.

Our collection and handling of mobile information and SMS consent information are described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Insurance Products and Services

A Pension & Retirement Review may identify topics or financial needs that warrant further consideration.

Where appropriate and permitted by applicable law, a licensed insurance professional may discuss insurance products or strategies that may relate to an individual's retirement or protection objectives.

Any decision to apply for an insurance product is separate from the initial review and is voluntary.

Insurance products are subject to applicable terms, conditions, limitations, exclusions, carrier requirements, underwriting requirements where applicable, product availability, and state licensing requirements.

No insurance coverage exists unless and until an insurance carrier issues a policy or contract in accordance with its requirements.

MeridianLight LLC and its insurance professionals do not guarantee that any application will be approved or that any particular insurance product will be available to an individual.

9. No Guarantee of Results

Neither MeridianLight LLC nor My Pension Path guarantees any particular pension, retirement, financial, insurance, tax, Social Security, investment, or other outcome from using our website or participating in a Pension & Retirement Review.

Retirement outcomes depend on numerous factors outside our control, including individual circumstances, financial decisions, market conditions, pension-system rules, government programs, tax laws, insurance-carrier requirements, and future events.

Past results, examples, illustrations, hypothetical scenarios, or educational examples should not be interpreted as guarantees of future results.

10. Third-Party Information

Our services may reference information from pension systems, government agencies, employers, insurance carriers, financial institutions, or other third parties.

Although we may use information believed to be reliable, we do not control third-party information and cannot guarantee that all third-party information will always be complete, accurate, or current.

Official pension calculations, benefit determinations, Social Security benefits, plan balances, tax determinations, and similar information should be confirmed with the appropriate authoritative source.

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law or severed where necessary.

The remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

21. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or our right to enforce it in the future.

A waiver of any provision will be effective only if made in writing by an authorized representative of MeridianLight LLC.
